Our Story
Tastes & Treks is where our love of food and travel come together — with stories from the kitchen and the road.
We are home cooks who love a good recipe, a well-set table, and the people gathered around it. Over the years, we have cooked our way through a lot of meals — some inspired by great chefs, many shaped by trial and error, and a few that have become our most-requested favorites. This is where we finally write them down and share them.
Travel is the other half of the story. We especially love Europe and Mexico, and many of our favorite meals and memories come from time spent there — wandering markets, lingering over long lunches, and discovering simple dishes done really well. We bring those experiences home with us, whether that means recreating a dish, tracking down a new ingredient, or just remembering a moment that made us pause.
Tastes & Treks is our way of sharing what we are enjoying and learning along the way: food worth making, places worth visiting, and experiences worth savoring. And while we have already been lucky enough to see a lot, we remain eager to explore more — at our own pace, and with open eyes and open appetites.
Our hope is that it inspires you to cook something new, gather your people, and enjoy the journey — whether that is around your own table or somewhere a little farther from home.
